Health Law Navigator: Price Transparency and No Surprises

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have rolled out their audit and investigation programs for the CMS price transparency requirements and No Surprises Act. These audits and investigations are high lighting the need for providers to be able to distinguish between three overlapping requirements – transparency, out of network billing, and good faith estimates to ensure that each rule is followed within its applicable scope. This presentation walks through the applicable requirements and provide practical guidelines to prepare for an audit.
