10th Annual Nancy C. Dreher Lecture on Bankruptcy Law and Practice

The American College of Bankruptcy, the Law School's Corporate Institute, the MSBA / HCBA / RCBA Bankruptcy Section, and The Turnaround Management Association invite you to join us at the University of Minnesota Law School on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM for a dynamic presentation, free 1.5 CLE credits for practitioners (requested for states in the 8th Circuit), and a networking reception immediately following the program. Virtual attendance is available.

Wednesday, May 28, 2025
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

This program will address what the bankruptcy trustee, the debtor’s counsel, the creditors, and the fraudster might encounter the first day in a bankruptcy case of a company or individual who was engaged in pre-bankruptcy fraudulent activity. The Trustee may be startled to uncover a massive fraud, the Debtor’s counsel may too be surprised, the creditors will experience a range of emotions, and the fraudster may be manipulating everyone. The program will identify both the legal and human aspects to this situation and deliver tools of how best to navigate what may be a turbulent start to an unusual case.

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
